Aburi Gardens

In 1890 the British built these beautiful gardens in the mountain region outside of Accra. Our friend Emmanuel offer to take us to see them. It was so nice to get out of the city and see such a beautiful area of Ghana.

This row of palm trees reminded me of the oak trees lining the driveways of plantations in the South.
Over 150 years old.

Wish I knew what this helicopter is from and why it was placed randomly in the middle of the gardens.

Standing in the ficus tree with adorable children.
Peek-a-boo
Ever wondered where nutmeg comes from? Well, now you can stop wondering.
It was a tough decision for Kirsten.
